Whether during Phonics or in everyday work, spelling correctly is a high priority in school.
The children have Spellings to focus on in school which are sent to learn at home on a Friday and then tested in school the following Friday (KS1 will test some on a Thursday and others on a Friday). This day may change if an event is on in school on the same day.
Your class teacher will let you know the focus words for the week via your class page as well as in your child's spelling book or on a piece of paper which comes home.
The whole year's spellings for your child's class (Key Stage 2) are attached. Key Stage 1 will inform you weekly.
