Molly-Mae's Adventures!

Introduction

School is currently training a ‘Nurture Dog’ named ‘Molly-Mae’. She is a Shih Tzu puppy. Being a full Shih Tzu they are known to be hypo-allergenic and of a lovely calm temperament making Molly-Mae an ideal dog to have working with children.

“Hello I’m Molly-Mae”

“Brickhouse Primary School's Nurture Dog

and I can’t wait to meet you all!

To enable school to have Molly-Mae in the building, Mrs Newby and Mr Brookes have completed extensive research, created a school policy and risk assessments. Much advice being taken from The Dogs Trust and The School Therapy Dog Association, as well as SIPS Risk Management.

Molly-Mae will be trained to work with all children and staff in school, whether she is supporting hearing children read, supporting SEND children, helping to encourage children with their attendance in school as well supporting children with their emotional needs and difficulties. These are just a few of the many ways that Molly-Mae will be helping your children in school.
